This list gathers common Chinese words for parts of the human body, aimed at beginner to intermediate learners. It covers basic items (eyes, hands, legs) and other useful terms (muscle, bone, organs) to help you describe the body and talk about health or symptoms.
- 身体 shēntǐ — the body; one's health
- 头 tóu — head; top; beginning; chief; leader
- 头发 tóufa — hair (on the head)
- 额头 étóu — forehead
- 眼睛 yǎnjing — eye; (an organ of sight)
- 眉毛 méimao — eyebrow
- 睫毛 jiémáo — eyelashes
- 鼻子 bízi — nose (the organ on the face for smelling and breathing)
- 鼻孔 bíkǒng — nostril
- 嘴 zuǐ — mouth (of a person or animal); lips/jaw area
- 嘴唇 zuǐchún — lip; (either of the two fleshy parts that form the mouth border)
- 牙齿 yáchǐ — tooth; (human or animal) tooth; dentition
- 舌头 shétou — tongue (organ in the mouth)
- 耳朵 ěrduo — ear (part of the head)
- 脖子 bózi — neck (body part)
- 肩膀 jiānbǎng — shoulder (the body part)
- 胳膊 gēbo — arm (human upper limb)
- 手臂 shǒubì — arm (the limb from shoulder to hand)
- 手 shǒu — hand (body part)
- 手指 shǒuzhǐ — finger
- 拇指 mǔzhǐ — thumb
- 食指 shízhǐ — index finger; forefinger
- 中指 zhōngzhǐ — middle finger

- 腰 yāo — the waist; the lower back
- 肚子 dùzi — belly; abdomen; stomach
- 肚脐 dùqí — navel; belly button
- 胃 wèi — stomach (the organ)
- 肠 cháng — intestines; gut
- 心脏 xīnzàng — heart (the organ)
- 血 xiě — blood (colloquial pronunciation xie3; see xue4)
- 血管 xuèguǎn — blood vessel; vein or artery
- 皮肤 pífū — skin (of a person or animal); the integument covering the body
- 骨头 gǔtou — bone; (anatomical) component of the skeleton
- 骨骼 gǔgé — bones; skeleton
- 关节 guānjié — joint (anatomy); articulation
- 膝盖 xīgài — knee (the joint)
- 大腿 dàtuǐ — thigh (upper part of the leg)
- 小腿 xiǎotuǐ — lower leg (from knee to ankle); shank
- 脚 jiǎo — foot; leg (of a human or animal)
- 脚趾 jiǎozhǐ — toe (digit of the foot)
- 指甲 zhǐjia — fingernail; toenail
- 肌肉 jīròu — muscle; flesh (body tissue that produces movement)
- 伤口 shāngkǒu — wound; cut (injury to the skin or flesh)
- 疼痛 téngtòng — pain (physical)
- 发烧 fāshāo — to have a high temperature; to have a fever (illness)
- 体温 tǐwēn — body temperature (the temperature of a person's body)
- 呼吸 hūxī — to breathe; respiration
- 健康 jiànkāng — health (the state of being free from illness or injury)
- 医生 yīshēng — doctor (medical practitioner)
- 视力 shìlì — eyesight; visual acuity
- 听力 tīnglì — hearing; listening ability (one's capacity to hear or understand spoken language)
