1. head; top; beginning; chief; leader

   他是我们公司的头儿。 tā shì wǒmen gōngsī de tóuer — He's the boss of our company.

2. hair style; top (of the head)

   他摸了摸自己的头，想了想再说。 tā mōlemō zìjǐ de tóu xiǎng le xiǎng zàishuō — He touched the top of his head, thought for a moment, and then spoke.

3. end; remainder; a stub

   这根树头还在地上。 zhègēn shù tóu hái zài dìshàng — This tree stump is still on the ground.

4. side; aspect; first; leading
