2. moral character; backbone; (figuratively) toughness or bitterness experienced

   他这个人很有骨头，不会轻易向别人妥协。 tā zhège rén hěn yǒugǔtou búhuì qīngyì xiàng biérén tuǒxié — He has backbone and won't easily compromise with others.
