龌龊 — wòchuò

1. physically dirty; filthy

   这条街看起来很龌龊，到处都是垃圾。 zhètiáo jiē kànqǐlái hěn wòchuò dàochù dōu shì lājī — This street looks very filthy; there is trash everywhere.

2. vile; despicable (morally reprehensible behavior)

   他的做法实在太龌龊，欺骗弱者令人愤慨。 tā de zuòfǎ shízàitài wòchuò qīpiàn ruòzhě lìngrén fènkǎi — His actions are truly despicable; deceiving the weak is outrageous.

3. (literary) narrow-minded; petty

   他对别人的小成就总是龌龊地嫉妒，心胸狭窄。 tā duì biérén de xiǎo chéngjiù zǒngshì wòchuò dì jídù xīnxiōngxiázhǎi — He petty and jealously resents others' small achievements; narrow-minded.
