黑蒙蒙 — hēiméngméng

1. very dark; pitch-dark; gloomy (often of the sky, surroundings, or a room)

   外面天已经黑蒙蒙的，快要下雨了。 wàimiàn tiān yǐjīng hēiméngméng de kuàiyào xiàyǔ le — Outside it was already very dark; it looked like it was about to rain.

2. dim, murky or hazy (of visibility, air, or colors)
