1. yellow flowers (various types); chrysanthemum

   院子里开满了黄花，散发着淡淡的香味。 yuànzi lǐ kāimǎn le huánghuā sànfà zhe dàndànde xiāngwèi — The yard is full of yellow flowers, giving off a faint fragrance.

2. cauliflower (informal usage in some dialects or contexts)

   菜市场里有新鲜的黄花卖，一棵才十块钱。 càishìchǎng lǐ yǒu xīnxiān de huánghuā mài yīkē cái shíkuàiqián — There are fresh cauliflowers for sale at the market, one for only ten yuan.

3. a young virgin (boy or girl) — colloquial/dated

   她还是个黄花闺女，从未谈过恋爱。 tā háishì gè huánghuāguīnǚ cóngwèi tán guò liànài — She is still an unmarried young girl who has never dated.
