黄了 — huángle

1. to be cancelled or to fall through (of plans, events)

   演出黄了，我们改天再去。 yǎnchū huáng le wǒmen gǎitiān zài qù — The show was cancelled; we'll go another day.

2. to have turned yellow; yellowish (change of color, aging, or discoloration)

   这张旧照片都黄了，需要修复。 zhè zhāng jiù zhàopiān dōu huáng le xūyào xiūfù — This old photo has yellowed and needs restoration.

3. pornographic; obscene (informal, describing media or content)

   那本杂志有些内容太黄，不适合孩子看。 nà běn zázhì yǒuxiē nèiróng tài huáng búshì hé háizi kàn — That magazine has some material that's too pornographic; not suitable for children.
