1. few; rare

鲜 — xiǎn

1. fresh (not stale)

   早市的蔬菜都非常鲜。 zǎoshì de shūcài dōu fēicháng xiān — The vegetables at the morning market are all very fresh.

2. bright (in color)

   她穿了一件颜色很鲜的连衣裙。 tā chuān le yījiàn yánsè hěn xiān de liányīqún — She wore a dress with very bright colors.
