香烟 — xiāngyān

1. smoke from incense (burned as an offering to one's ancestors); (fig.) continuation of the family line

   祭祀时要点香烟给祖先。 jìsì shí yàodiǎn xiāngyān gěi zǔxiān — At the ceremony you should light incense smoke for the ancestors.

2. cigarette

   他每天早上都要抽一支香烟。 tā měitiān zǎoshàng dōu yào chōu yīzhī xiāngyān — He smokes a cigarette every morning.
