2. to decorate; to adorn

   她用鲜花来饰房间。 tā yòng xiānhuā lái shì fángjiān — She decorates the room with fresh flowers.

3. to hide; to conceal (a fault); to excuse (to hide a fault)

   他试图用借口来饰自己的错误。 tā shìtúyòng jièkǒu lái shì zìjǐ de cuòwù — He tried to excuse his mistake with an excuse.
