飞升 — fēishēng

1. to fly upwards; to soar

   那只鸟突然飞升到高空。 nà zhǐ niǎo tūrán fēishēng dào gāokōng — The bird suddenly flew up into the high sky.

2. (figurative) to rise; to increase (in rank, status, price, etc.)

   公司的业绩飞升，股价也随之上涨。 gōngsī de yèjì fēishēng gǔjià yě suízhī shàngzhǎng — The company's performance soared, and the stock price rose accordingly.

3. (Daoism) to ascend to heaven; to achieve immortality

   传说他修炼多年，最终飞升成仙。 chuánshuō tā xiūliàn duōnián zuìzhōng fēishēng chéngxiān — Legend says he cultivated for many years and finally ascended to become an immortal.
