1. elated; feeling light and airy (often after a few drinks)

   喝了几杯酒后，他显得有些飘飘然，话也多了。 hē le jǐbēijiǔ hòu tā xiǎnde yǒuxiē piāopiāorán huà yě duō le — After a few drinks he seemed a bit elated and talkative.

2. smug and conceited; complacent

   他一听到好消息就飘飘然，仿佛什么都不用努力了。 tā yī tīngdào hǎoxiāoxī jiù piāopiāorán fǎngfú shénme dōu bùyòng nǔlì le — When he heard the good news he became smug, as if no effort was needed.
