风寒 — fēnghán

1. wind chill

   今天的风寒很重，出门要穿暖和。 jīntiān de fēnghán hěnzhòng chūmén yào chuān nuǎnhuo — The wind chill is strong today; you should dress warmly when going out.

2. cold weather

   北方的冬天常有风寒。 běifāng de dōngtiān chángyǒu fēnghán — The north often has cold weather in winter.

3. common cold (in traditional Chinese medicine: a cold caused by wind and chill)

   中医认为风寒感冒适合用姜汤发汗。 zhōngyī rènwéi fēnghán gǎnmào shìhé yòng jiāngtāng fāhàn — In TCM, a wind-cold common cold is thought to be treated with ginger soup to induce sweating.
