颠倒 — diāndǎo

1. to turn upside down; to reverse; to put something back to front

   他把桌上的瓶子颠倒放了。 tā bǎ zhuōshàng de píngzi diāndǎo fàng le — He put the bottle on the table upside down.

2. confused; mistaken; having things in the wrong order; crazy (figurative)

   他的想法颠倒，很多结论都站不住脚。 tā de xiǎngfǎ diāndǎo hěnduō jiélùn dōu zhànbúzhùjiǎo — His way of thinking is upside-down; many of his conclusions don't hold up.
