领教 — lǐngjiào

1. much obliged; thank you

   多谢你的提醒，让我领教了。 duōxiè nǐ de tíxǐng ràng wǒ lǐngjiào le — Thanks for the reminder — much obliged.

2. to ask for advice; to seek instruction

   我有个问题想向您领教。 wǒ yǒu gè wèntí xiǎng xiàng nín lǐngjiào — I have a question and would like to ask your advice.

3. (ironically or humorously) to experience; to taste (someone's power, a bad outcome, etc.)

   对方让我领教了一下真正的实力。 duìfāng ràng wǒ lǐngjiào le yīxià zhēnzhèng de shílì — The other side made me taste what real strength is.
