领 — lǐng

1. neck (body)

   他穿的那件衬衫领开得很高。 tā chuān de nàjiàn chènshān lǐng kāidé hěn gāo — The shirt he was wearing had a high collar (around the neck).

2. collar (of clothing)

   这件大衣的领是真皮做的。 zhèjiàn dàyī de lǐng shì zhēnpí zuò de — The collar of this coat is made of real leather.

3. to lead; to guide

   他领着团队完成了项目。 tā lǐng zhe tuánduì wánchéng le xiàngmù — He led the team to complete the project.

4. to receive; to accept (something given)

   你可以到前台领快递。 nǐ kěyǐ dào qiántái lǐng kuàidì — You can collect the package at the front desk.

5. classifier for items with a collar or similar (clothes, mats, screens, etc.)

   一领衣服已经挂在那儿了。 yī lǐng yīfú yǐjīng guà zài nàér le — One (item of) clothing is already hanging there.
