1. ode; eulogy

   他在葬礼上念了一篇颂词。 tā zài zànglǐ shàng niàn le yīpiān sòngcí — He read an eulogy at the funeral.

2. to praise in writing

   作家用文章颂扬了这位科学家的贡献。 zuòjiā yòng wénzhāng sòngyáng le zhèwèi kēxuéjiā de gòngxiàn — The writer praised the scientist's contributions in an article.

3. to wish (in letters)

   他在信中颂旅途平安。 tā zài xìn zhōng sòng lǚtú píngān — He wished for a safe journey in the letter.
