2. to go with the flow; to follow the prevailing trend or circumstances

   在这件事上我决定顺流，不与大家对着干。 zài zhèjiàn shì shàng wǒ juédìng shùnliú bù yǔ dàjiā duìzhegàn — On this matter I decided to go with the flow and not oppose everyone.
