顺势 — shùnshì

1. to take advantage (of a situation); to seize an opportunity

   他顺势提出了自己的建议。 tā shùnshì tíchū le zìjǐ de jiànyì — He took the opportunity to put forward his suggestion.

2. conveniently; in passing; without taking extra trouble

   我顺势把门关上了。 wǒ shùnshì bǎmén guānshàng le — I conveniently closed the door (while passing).
