顺 — shùn

1. to obey; to follow (an order, rule, person)

   他总是顺从父母的意见。 tā zǒngshì shùncóng fùmǔ de yìjiàn — He always follows/obeys his parents' opinions.

2. to follow; to move along (a direction or line); to go with the flow

   顺着这条路一直走就到了公园。 shùnzhe zhètiáo lù yìzhí zǒu jiù dào le gōngyuán — Follow this road straight ahead and you'll reach the park.

3. to arrange; to make (something) smooth or reasonable; to put in order

   我们需要把流程顺一顺，减少不必要的步骤。 wǒmen xūyào bǎ liúchéng shùn yī shùn jiǎnshǎo bùbìyào de bùzhòu — We need to streamline the process and reduce unnecessary steps.

4. favorable; smooth; auspicious

   今年的收成很顺，农民很高兴。 jīnnián de shōuchéng hěnshùn nóngmín hěn gāoxìng — This year's harvest went very smoothly; the farmers are very happy.
