韵母 — yùnmǔ

1. the final (rime) of a Chinese syllable — the part remaining after removal of the initial consonant and the tone (e.g. the final of “niáng” is “iang”)

   汉语音节的韵母指声母之后的部分。 hànyǔ yīnjié de yùnmǔ zhǐ shēngmǔ zhīhòu de bùfèn — The yun mu (final) of a Chinese syllable is the part that follows the initial consonant.
