鞋头 — xiétóu

1. the front part of a shoe; the toe (area that covers the toes)

   这双鞋的鞋头太窄，我的脚很挤。 zhèshuāng xié de xiétóu tài zhǎi wǒ de jiǎo hěnjǐ — The toe of these shoes is too narrow; my foot is cramped.

2. toe cap; the reinforced outer piece at the front of some shoes (often leather or metal)

   工地靴的鞋头通常有钢制保护。 gōngdì xuē de xiétóu tōngcháng yǒu gāngzhì bǎohù — Work boots usually have a steel toe cap for protection.
