1. inhuman; brutal, lacking human feeling

   他的行为非人道，令人发指。 tā de xíngwéi fēirén dào lìngrénfàzhǐ — His behavior was inhuman and outrageous.

2. (literary) an unworthy person (to appoint, to marry, etc.)

   在古代，这类人常被视为非人，不能继承家业。 zài gǔdài zhè lèirén cháng bèi shìwéi fēirén bùnéng jìchéng jiāyè — In ancient times, such people were often regarded as unworthy and could not inherit the family estate.
