静观 — jìngguān

1. to observe calmly; to watch quietly

   她静观病情，不随意惊动病人。 tā jìngguān bìngqíng bù suíyì jīngdòng bìngrén — She observes the patient's condition calmly and does not disturb them unnecessarily.

2. quiet contemplation; calm mindful observation (often in Buddhist context)

   通过静观，他找到了内心的平静。 tōngguò jìngguān tā zhǎodào le nèixīn de píngjìng — Through quiet contemplation he found inner peace.
