2. inexperienced person; novice

   他在公司里还是个雏儿，很多工作要向前辈请教。 tā zài gōngsī lǐ háishì gè chúér hěnduō gōngzuò yào xiàng qiánbèi qǐngjiào — He is still a novice in the company and must consult his seniors on many tasks.

3. chick (slighting term for a young woman); bimbo

   那人用“雏儿”来称呼她，带有贬义。 nàrén yòng chúér lái chēnghū tā dàiyǒu biǎnyì — He called her a “chick,” which carried a derogatory connotation.
