难受 — nánshòu

1. to feel unwell; to be ill or uncomfortable

   我今天很难受，想早点睡觉。 wǒ jīntiān hěn nánshòu xiǎng zǎodiǎn shuìjiào — I'm feeling unwell today and want to go to bed early.

2. to suffer (physical) pain; to be in discomfort

   他胃不舒服，肚子很难受。 tā wèi bù shūfú dǔzi hěn nánshòu — His stomach is upset; his belly aches.

3. to be hard to bear; emotionally or mentally uncomfortable

   听到那个消息后，她觉得很难受。 tīngdào nàge xiāoxī hòu tā juéde hěn nánshòu — After hearing the news, she felt very upset/uncomfortable.
