隐痛 — yǐntòng

1. hidden anguish; secret suffering

   他心里有隐痛，不愿提起。 tā xīnlǐ yǒu yǐntòng bù yuàn tíqǐ — He has hidden anguish in his heart and doesn't want to bring it up.

2. dull pain (medical)

   她的膝盖有隐痛，天气一冷就更明显。 tā de xīgài yǒu yǐntòng tiānqì yī lěng jiù gèng míngxiǎn — She has a dull pain in her knee that becomes more noticeable when the weather gets cold.
