1. danger; risk

   这条山路上有很多险，要小心驾驶。 zhè tiáoshān lùshàng yǒu hěnduō xiǎn yào xiǎoxīn jiàshǐ — There are many dangers on this mountain road; drive carefully.

2. dangerous

   这条路很险，不适合新手开车。 zhètiáo lù hěn xiǎn búshì hé xīnshǒu kāichē — This road is very dangerous; it's not suitable for inexperienced drivers.

3. rugged (terrain); precipitous

   那座山峰地势险峻，只适合有经验的登山者。 nà zuò shānfēng dìshì xiǎnjùn zhǐ shìhé yǒu jīngyàn de dēngshānzhě — That peak is steep and rugged; it's only suitable for experienced climbers.
