1. to end a period of mourning; to take off mourning clothes

   父亲死后三年，我家按礼节除服。 fùqīn sǐ hòu sānnián wǒjiā àn lǐjié chú fú — After father died, our family ended the mourning after three years according to custom.

2. to remove clothing; to take off clothes

   请在换衣间除服后再试穿制服。 qǐng zài huànyījiān chú fú hòu zài shìchuān zhìfú — Please take off your clothes in the changing room before trying on the uniform.
