1. to become cooler; to lower the temperature

   外面天气突然降温了，记得多穿点儿。 wàimiàn tiānqì tūrán jiàngwēn le jìde duō chuān diǎnér — The weather outside suddenly cooled down; remember to wear more.

2. cooling; a drop in temperature

   这几天气温明显降温，大家都穿上了厚衣服。 zhè jǐtiān qìwēn míngxiǎn jiàngwēn dàjiā dōu chuān shàng le hòu yīfú — Temperatures have dropped noticeably these past few days; everyone has put on thick clothing.

3. (fig.) (of interest, activity, enthusiasm etc.) to decline; to cool off

   新产品发布后几周，市场热度开始降温。 xīn chǎnpǐn fābù hòu jǐzhōu shìchǎng rèdù kāishǐ jiàngwēn — A few weeks after the new product launch, market interest began to cool off.
