闷气 — mènqì

1. sulk; feeling of resentment or ill temper kept to oneself

   他在闷气，不跟任何人说话。 tā zài mēnqì bù gēn rènhérén shuōhuà — He is sulking and not talking to anyone.

2. to sulk; to be silent and resentful

   别闷气了，把心里话说出来。 bié mēnqì le bǎ xīnlǐhuà shuō chūlái — Don't sulk — speak your mind.

3. stuffy; oppressive (about weather, air, or a mood)

   房间里很闷气，应该开窗通风。 fángjiān lǐ hěn mēnqì yīnggāi kāichuāng tōngfēng — The room is very stuffy; you should open a window for ventilation.
