1. laid-back; leisurely

   他过着闲散的生活。 tā guò zhe xiánsǎn de shēnghuó — He leads a laid-back (leisurely) life.

2. (of resources: workers, funds etc.) unused; idle

   工厂有许多闲散的工人没有工作。 gōngchǎng yǒu xǔduō xiánsǎn de gōngrén méiyǒu gōngzuò — The factory has many idle workers without work.
