闭口 — bìkǒu

1. to keep one's mouth shut; to say nothing

   在会议上他选择闭口不谈这个问题。 zài huìyì shàng tā xuǎnzé bìkǒubùtán zhège wèntí — At the meeting he chose to keep silent about the issue.

2. shut; sealed (e.g. container) — not open

   这个罐子一直闭口保存，内容物没有变质。 zhège guànzi yìzhí bìkǒu bǎocún nèiróng wù méiyǒu biànzhì — The jar has been kept sealed; its contents haven't spoiled.
