1. to close a book; to shut one's book

2. closed-book exam; test taken without reference materials

   这次是闭卷考试，不能带任何参考资料。 zhècì shì bìjuànkǎoshì bùnéng dài rènhé cānkǎozīliào — This is a closed-book exam; you may not bring any reference materials.
