1. mistake; error

   这是我的错，我会改正。 zhè shì wǒ de cuò wǒhuì gǎizhèng — This is my mistake; I'll correct it.

2. wrong; not correct

   你的答案不对，是错的。 nǐ de dáàn búduì shì cuò de — Your answer is not right; it's wrong.

3. bad; poor

   他做事毛手毛脚，常常出错。 tā zuòshì máoshǒumáojiǎo chángcháng chūcuò — He is careless in his work and often does things poorly.

4. interlocking; fitting together

   这两块木板错合得很紧。 zhèliǎngkuài mùbǎn cuò hédé hěnjǐn — These two boards interlock very tightly.

5. complex; intricate

   这件玉雕工艺错综复杂。 zhèjiàn yùdiāo gōngyì cuòzōngfùzá — The craftsmanship of this jade carving is intricate and complex.
