1. to coordinate with; to cooperate; to act in concert with

   两个部门需要密切配合才能完成这个项目。 liǎnggè bùmén xūyào mìqièpèihé cáinéng wánchéng zhège xiàngmù — The two departments need to cooperate closely to complete this project.

2. to match; to fit; to be compatible with; to conform to

   这件外套和你的裤子很配合。 zhèjiàn wàitào hé nǐ de kùzi hěn pèihé — This coat matches your trousers well.

3. rapport; compatibility (between people or parts)

   他们之间的配合非常默契。 tāmen zhījiān de pèihé fēicháng mòqì — The coordination between them is very tacit/they have great rapport.

4. to become man and wife; to marry (colloquial)

   他们经媒人介绍后彼此配合默契，后来喜结连理。 tāmen jīng méirén jièshào hòu bǐcǐ pèihémòqì hòulái xǐjiéliánlǐ — After being introduced by a matchmaker, they got along perfectly and eventually married.

5. to combine parts of a machine; to fit together (technical/engineering)

   这台设备的各个零件必须精确配合才能正常运转。 zhè tái shèbèi de gègè língjiàn bìxū jīngquè pèihé cáinéng zhèngcháng yùnzhuàn — The parts of this device must fit together precisely for it to operate normally.
