部属 — bùshǔ

1. subordinate; person who reports to a higher officer

   他是经理的主要部属。 tā shì jīnglǐ de zhǔyào bùshǔ — He is the manager's main subordinate.

2. troops under one's command; forces assigned to a commander

   将军带领着所有部属出征。 jiāngjūn dàilǐng zhe suǒyǒu bùshǔ chūzhēng — The general led all the troops under his command into battle.

3. affiliated to a ministry or department; belonging to an administrative unit

   这家机构是教育部的部属单位。 zhèjiā jīgòu shì jiàoyùbù de bùshǔ dānwèi — This organization is an affiliated unit of the Ministry of Education.
