   他是个郎中，擅长针灸。 tā shì gè lángzhōng shàncháng zhēnjiǔ — He is a doctor who specializes in acupuncture.

2. an ancient official title (historical government post)

   在古代，他被任命为郎中，负责宫廷事务。 zài gǔdài tā bèi rènmìng wèi lángzhōng fùzé gōngtíng shìwù — In ancient times he was appointed a langzhong, responsible for court affairs.

3. companions; respectful form of address for a group of men (lit. 'gentlemen' or 'sirs')

   这些郎中都是我多年的好友。 zhèxiē lángzhōng dōu shì wǒ duōnián de hǎoyǒu — These gentlemen are all my longtime friends.
