1. like that; in that way

   你就那么做吧。 nǐ jiù nàme zuò ba — Just do it like that.

2. to that extent; so (used to indicate degree)

   他那么忙，我也不好打扰。 tā nàme máng wǒ yě bùhǎo dǎrǎo — He's so busy, I shouldn't bother him.

3. then; in that case (introducing a conclusion or consequence)

   既然你不同意，那么我们就作罢吧。 jìrán nǐ bùtóng yì nàme wǒmen jiù zuòbà ba — Since you disagree, then let's drop it.

4. (before a number) ... or so; about ... (indicating approximation)

   聚会大概来了那么三十个人。 jùhuì dàgài lái le nàme sānshígè rén — About thirty people came to the party.
