   他沉浸在遐想中，忘了时间。 tā chénjìn zài xiáxiǎng zhōng wàng le shíjiān — He was lost in reverie and forgot the time.

2. to be lost in wild and fanciful thoughts; to daydream

   她在公园里遐想，没有注意到身边的声音。 tā zài gōngyuán lǐ xiáxiǎng méiyǒu zhùyì dào shēnbiān de shēngyīn — She was daydreaming in the park and didn't notice the sounds around her.
