suí

遂 — suí

1. used only in the fixed medical phrase 半身不遂 (hemiplegia); Taiwan pron. [sui4]

   他中风后左侧半身不遂，行动不便。 tā zhòngfēng hòu zuǒcè bànshēnbùsuí xíngdòngbùbiàn — After his stroke he had hemiplegia on the left side and had difficulty moving.

遂 — suì

1. to satisfy; to achieve; to accomplish; to reach; (classical/formal) then, thereupon, finally

   事情遂成，大家都很高兴。 shìqíng suì chéng dàjiā dōu hěn gāoxìng — The matter was accomplished, and everyone was very happy.
