逡巡 — qūnxún

1. to hesitate; to draw back

   他在门口逡巡，迟迟不进。 tā zài ménkǒu qūnxún chíchí bù jìn — He hesitated at the door and wouldn't go in.

2. to move back and forth; to pace hesitantly

   他在房间里逡巡来回，显得很不安。 tā zài fángjiān lǐ qūnxún láihuí xiǎnde hěn bùān — He paced back and forth in the room, looking uneasy.
