造像 — zàoxiàng

1. a statue or image (esp. of a Buddha or deity); sculpture

   寺院里有几尊古代造像。 sìyuàn lǐ yǒu jǐzūn gǔdài zàoxiàng — There are several ancient statues in the temple.

2. to carve or make a statue; to create an image (of a deity, person, etc.)

   工匠们正在为新寺造像。 gōngjiàng men zhèngzài wèi xīn sì zàoxiàng — The craftsmen are making statues for the new temple.
