通气 — tōngqì

1. ventilation; aeration

   这个房间的通气不好，空气很闷。 zhège fángjiān de tōngqì bùhǎo kōngqì hěn mèn — The ventilation in this room is poor; the air is stuffy.

2. to keep each other informed (mutually inform)

   我们需要经常通气，确保项目进展信息共享。 wǒmen xūyào jīngcháng tōngqì quèbǎo xiàngmù jìnzhǎn xìnxī gòngxiǎng — We need to keep each other informed regularly to ensure project updates are shared.

3. to release information; to make information public

   公司决定通气，把调查结果公之于众。 gōngsī juédìng tōngqì bǎ diàochájiéguǒ gōngzhīyúzhòng — The company decided to release the findings to the public.
