1. penetrating, soaking rain; a rain that soaks through clothing or buildings

   早晨下着透雨，外出要带雨具，否则很容易被淋湿。 zǎochén xiàzhe tòuyǔ wàichū yào dài yǔjù fǒuzé hěn róngyì bèi línshī — In the morning there was a penetrating rain; take rain gear when going out, otherwise you'll easily get soaked.
