1. transparent; allowing light to pass through; clear (physically)

   玻璃很透明，能看到外面的景色。 bōlí hěn tòumíng néng kàndào wàimiàn de jǐngsè — The glass is very transparent; you can see the scenery outside.

2. transparent (fig.); open to scrutiny; clear and easy to understand

   政府应该保证决策过程透明，接受公众监督。 zhèngfǔ yīnggāi bǎozhèng juécè guòchéng tòumíng jiēshòu gōngzhòng jiāndū — The government should ensure decision-making processes are transparent and subject to public oversight.
