1. contrary; opposite

   他们的意见相逆。 tāmen de yìjiàn xiāngnì — Their opinions are opposite.

2. backwards; in the opposite direction

   司机违规逆行，导致了事故。 sījī wéiguī nìxíng dǎozhì liǎo shìgù — The driver illegally drove the wrong way, causing an accident.

3. to go against; to oppose; (literary) to rebel or betray

   他不愿意逆父母的决定，悄悄离家出走。 tā bù yuànyì nì fùmǔ de juédìng qiāoqiāo líjiāchūzǒu — He refused to go against his parents' decision and secretly ran away from home.
