2. to do someone a favor or provide a courtesy (often in the form of money, gifts, or services)

   他常常给同事送人情，重要场合都会记得帮忙。 tā chángcháng gěi tóngshì sòngrénqíng zhòngyào chǎnghé dū huì jìde bāngmáng — He often does favors for colleagues; he remembers to help at important occasions.
