送亲 — sòngqīn

1. to accompany the bride or groom in a wedding procession; to take part in sending the couple off at a wedding

   今天要去送亲，大家都穿得很正式。 jīntiān yào qù sòngqīn dàjiā dōu chuān dé hěn zhèngshì — Today we are going to accompany the bride/groom; everyone is dressed very formally.

2. to see someone off; to send off (relatives, guests) when they depart

   父母在车站送亲，直到火车离开才回家。 fùmǔ zài chēzhàn sòngqīn zhídào huǒchē líkāi cái huíjiā — The parents saw them off at the station and didn't return home until the train had left.
