送 — sòng

1. to send (something to someone)

   我送给你一个礼物。 wǒ sònggěi nǐ yígè lǐwù — I'm giving you a gift.

2. to deliver (goods, a package)

   快递员把包裹送到了门口。 kuàidì yuán bǎ bāoguǒ sòngdào le ménkǒu — The courier delivered the package to the door.

3. to transmit; to convey (information, news)

   请把会议决定送达给所有部门。 qǐng bǎ huìyì juédìng sòngdá gěi suǒyǒu bùmén — Please convey the meeting's decisions to all departments.

4. to give (as a present); to bestow

   他生日的时候我送了他一本书。 tā shēngrì de shíhòu wǒ sòng le tā yī běnshū — I gave him a book for his birthday.

5. to see (somebody) off; to bid farewell (at a station, airport, etc.)

   我们去车站送他。 wǒmen qù chēzhàn sòng tā — We're going to the station to see him off.

6. to accompany; to go along with (someone)

   他让我送他去超市。 tā ràng wǒ sòng tā qù chāoshì — He asked me to go with him to the supermarket.
